A native Italian, I spent my formative years in the US, and moved back to Italy to start university in 1998. For a few years I coordinated film and television productions in Rome. I also worked for wonderful human rights film festivals in Umbria and in Sicily.

Life brought me to coordinate destination weddings with Salve Umbria in 2015. After training and learning everything I could for years, I launched my own destination wedding business in 2019. I have since planned dozens of weddings all over the country.

My private time is spent with my family and kids, and doing some form of human rights activism – you’ll probably see me at one or another protest. Someday I would like to become a sommelier, and direct my own film.

What I mostly take away from this profession is sharing the fruits and customs of my country with people from other parts of the world. When the experience is over, one feeling is mutual: Italy will feel like home to you.

– How many weddings have you planned?

Since starting my own business, I have planned over 50 weddings.

– How many people are in your team?

Working throughout the year are myself and the brilliant Barbara, who speaks fluent Spanish in addition to English and Italian.

On the wedding day, we come to work with the rest of our experienced planning team, 3 or 4 of us depending on what is needed.

– How many weddings per year do you plan?

I take on no more than 12 weddings per season, to really dedicate myself fully. I care, very much, and will probably be the only one thinking about your wedding as much as you are.

– How much do your services cost?

For 2027-28, wedding planning services start at € 6000. No commissions are added to your vendor fees. A tailored quote would be sent to you after our initial call.

The fee is inclusive of Italian taxes and my team’s services for your event. Travel is also included within 75 km from Foligno, Umbria.

– Do you offer partial planning or day-of coordination?

On some occasions I do offer a consultation package. However, for consultations I am unable to commit more than 6-7 months ahead of time.

Leonora brought to life our hope to have a beautiful, rustic and joyous celebration in Umbria, Italy. Not only did she go above and beyond the asks of the job, but also her attention to detail and calm nature allowed us to truly enjoy the time with our family & friends. The local vendors (especially the caterer, band, DJ and florist) she recommended were unbelievable and mirrored Leonora's commitment to quality. Leonora is also the reason we opted to host our wedding at a location which had a lot of meaning to us but that we assumed would be too logistically complicated. In the end, we had the most wonderful day (and weekend) of our lives and we could not be more grateful to Leonora for all she did to make that happen.

Leonora is the perfect wedding planner and was fantastic from start to end. She helped us find our perfect wedding venue when we met 3 years earlier, where she drove us around many venues in Umbria until we found the perfect place. When we delayed our wedding twice during the Covid pandemic, Leonora helped us to find a new date with the venue, communicated with all the vendors, and even stored our wedding favours for a whole year! Leonora organised all our vendors, and they were all perfect. Leonora is organised, but so relaxed, and takes away all your stress. Our wedding day went so smoothly and Leonora perfected the small details. Leonora goes above and beyond, we could not have had our perfect wedding without her and we cannot recommend her enough.

f you're planning your Italian wedding then you need Leonora. After having to postpone numerous times due to covid nothing was too much trouble for Leonora and everything was sorted with positivity and a smile. We wanted a specific style of band for our wedding day and Leonora found them busking and managed to get them to our wedding! Who does that!? She even managed to get us a totally vegan but still traditionally Italian wedding meal. Leonoras warmth and positivity will really take all the stress from your day and all the planning leading up to it. She really is one in a million. We can't thank you enough X
